As I write this, there are 67 days to go before we can fish for trout in Algonquin Provincial Park and considerably less in areas of central Ontario outside of the Park. In fact in many areas we're open now but just waiting for reasonable temperatures where line and body parts do not freeze solid and ice is not a major deterrent. In the mean time, tie those flies, assess that fishing line and make sure your vest and waders are in good shape. Fishing season will be here before you know it.
