Posted by Steve Galea at
This drab looking, buggy wet fly is the Adam's wet fly, the sister to the Adam's dry fly. It uses all the same ingredients but is tied differently. I tied a few of these tonight and I'm quite certain this searching pattern will be a killer come spring. The recipe is: Hook: Wet fly hook from size 10 to as small as you can tie Tail: mix of brown and grizzly hackle Body: Adam's grey dubbing Hackle: One turn of brown hen hackle, one turn of grizzly hen hackle Wing: A pair of grizzly rooster hackle tips.
