Steve Galea, owner of Algonquin Fly tying Supply, has been guiding fly anglers during the open water season for the last 10 years. In that time he has introduced scores of newcomers to the sport and guided hundreds of anglers.
Our guiding season starts shortly after ice out, generally around May 1. One or two anglers can be accomodated. In some cases, we can work with larger groups. Typically, we fish rivers and lakes utilizing canoe or small aluminium boat. Wading options are also available.
We start the season fly fishing for trout or pike in spring and smallmouth or largemouth bass throughout the summer months. In autumn, we once again offer trout fishing too.
My rates are:
- $250 for an individual for a full day on the water (8 hours)
- $400 for two for a full day.
- Payment is made on the day of the event.
This includes box lunch, all fishing gear (if required) flies, good advice, casting instruction and a few laughs. We'll also take photos of you throughout the day, if requested, and email you some of the best images.
If you have never fly fished before, we will focus on basics and then get you into fish. If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
